Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Explain changes in the criteria for determining resectability in patients with liver metastases from colorectal cancer
- Discuss current categorization of systemic therapeutic approaches (adjuvant, neoadjuvant, and conversion therapy) for treating and improving survival in colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases
- Identify systemic treatment regimens that have been studied in conversion therapy in colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases
- Discuss a multidisciplinary approach to liver metastases in colorectal cancer that optimizes treatment in the individual patient to achieve the best possible outcome while minimizing chemotherapy toxicity, surgical morbidity, and other adverse events
