Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recount data on the safety and efficacy of novel agents such as CCR5 inhibitors, entry inhibitors, and integrase inhibitors as therapy for treatment-experienced or treatment-naive HIV patients
  • Summarize new data on the use of novel therapies in the setting of resistant HIV
  • Describe the in vitro activity of novel therapies in the HIV setting, including novel PIs and fusion inhibitors
